5yr old girl sustains horrific injuries after being allegedly attacked in school

5 year old AvaLynn was nearly disfigured when she was allegedly attacked by another pupil at her Elementary school in Mississippi this week. The most bizarre thing about this story is that the school is maintaining that she was not attacked, rather she got the horrific injuries in an accident while playing on the playground. Makes no sense. This looks more like a vicious attack to me.

Her mother and other relatives have opened a Facebook page for the young girl to tell what happened to her and share photos of her injuries, while seeking for justice. Below is what they wrote on the Facebook page about the incident...
"On Tuesday, August 26, 2014, Lacey Harris was called go come pick up her daughter at Arlington Elementary School in Pascagoula, Mississippi, because AvaLynn had been injured in an accident. The sight Lacey found when she got to Ava's school was a parents' nightmare: her face swollen, cut, and bruised beyond recognition."

'We’re expecting Tinubu, El-Rufai, their godfathers to join Jonathan in PDP' - Reuben Abati

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Reuben Abati says he owes no one any explanation for working with the present administration, adding that his belief in the leadership of Jonathan was what made him decide to serve in his govt.

In an exclusive interview with  Tribune, Abati also stated that most of his critics, one of whom even referred to him one time as a product of same s*x marriage (FFK), have ended up in the GEJ led administration. He says they are now waiting for the likes of Oby Ezekwesili, Nasir El Rufai, Dino Melaye, Bola Tinubu and their 'Northern godfathers' to also 'see the light and allow the light set them free'.

How challenging has it been for you managing the president’s media affairs? I am not complaining. I mean, every work has its own challenges. There is no work anybody would be engaged in and there would not be challenges. That, certainly, is not an issue. But if I may make effort to answer your question, I think one key observation in terms of what I have experienced on the job is the fact that you have to keep explaining things to people.

Police arrest armed robbery accomplice after 10 years of evading arrest

A 33 year man identified as Obina Okoli who is described as a notorious for receiving stolen goods and a key financier and recruiter of hijackers who terrorize major highways  in Lagos and other parts of  the country has been arrested by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS.

The suspect who had evaded arrest for 10 years was finally arrested recently at his home in Onitsha, Anambra state. Police reports say Obinna received over 80% of all hijacked or diverted goods in Lagos and other adjoining  states from 2003 to 2014. He's also said to have sponsored and maintained over 50 different gangs of armed robbers, including military personnel, who he'd used in perpetuating his criminal activities.
One of his accomplices, 38 year old Imo state born Emeka Ikenga who was arrested in 2010 had identified Obinna as his sponsor and the facilitator of his robbery gang. Emeka was arrested for hijacking a truck carrying a 40 feet container with goods worth N11 million from its driver on the Benin-Ore Road and subsequently diverting it to Onitsha where it was handed over to Obinna.
Ikenga said they carried out the operation dressed as military and were able to trail the truck through the conductor of the bus who was their informant.

US Navy discharges black female sailor for refusing to cut off her natural hair

The U.S Navy announced this week Jessica Sims, an Africa American woman who has been a sailor for 12-years, will be discharged for “failing to obey an order to cut off her natural hairstyle.”
There have been wide criticism follow the military's new guidelines issued in March that are believed were discriminatory toward African-American women.

Those regulations “specifically forbid several hairstyles popular for black women who keep their hair natural, including twists, headbands, dreadlocks, or multiple braids that are larger than a quarter-inch.” A former U.S. Army Major, sharply criticized the regulations, noting they targeted “natural styles African American service women have been wearing for years.”
Jessica had been wearing her hair in the same way since 2005, without any apparent issues.
